Looking to add an Asian-syle blade to collection.

I was looking at my collection, and I suddenly realized that I have no Asian style knives in my collection. This is very odd, considering the number of years I have trained in Japanese martial arts, and the myriad of books, both fiction and non-fiction I have read of Feudal Japan. I even went throught that silly Ninja phase in the mid-80's where even the soaps had ninja in them. Someday I'll invest in a decent Katana.
But, I digress. I want to add Japanese-inspired blade to the collection. Fixed blade. Under 4.5" blade, but I may go bigger if I like it enough. I am REALLY tempted by R.W. Clark's MAU. I know CRKT has that new one out (forget the name at the moment, "first strike" or something). It doesn't have to be custom, but under $250 USD. I'd love to have a Hayes blade, but I've no idea of the price.
So, help me out. What else is out there?

RW Clark makes a great blade. I have a mini aikuchi and have hefted his larger work. Beautiful finish, nice edge, overall good bargain. The CRKT is the Corkum First Strike which is also very nice but the sheath leaves a bit to be desired.

Mike Snody makes some nice asian style blades, but I don't know about his price range. Check out www.bladeart.com, www.knifeart.com and www.bladegallery.com, you should be able to find something nice in that price range.

Edited to add: I just found that RW Clark has some really great asian style blade, nice enough in fact that I just placed an order on one! He's floating around the forums here somewhere, but the link is . I should have remembered him from Blade, but I got sensory overload there after a while so I have a hard time remembering who was who.

Forumite Jason Cutter has some great looking asian blades. This style is my favorite:

He's been busy as of late so I don't know if he's taking orders, but he's a great guy with some great designs.
