looking to buy a camp tramp

hey guys. im looking to buy my first rat, the camp tramp. I'd like to get it by christmas time and i know theres usually a few weeks wait on SW's. Does anyone know when i should order one so it could get here around that time? also what are the shipping costs (to ny)

Welcome to the Swamp Rat Forum. I'd suggest ordering immediately and hoping for the best ;) Since your Credit card is not charged until your order is processed and prepared for shipping there would be no downside to ordering now. Hopefully it won't be a problem to have the CT by Christmas, but right now I'm not sure what the wait is.

I understand that there will be another round of CTs leaving the Swamp in the next week or so.

Was I you, I'd send in an order immediately, and drop an email to Eric at the same time - that way, if you're lucky, you get a brand new one almost immediately (virtually unheard of in Rat World!), or if you're unlucky, you can pay more by haunting forums like this! :D

DAMN! thats a longgg wait...im going back home this weekend so ill order mine and hope it gets here before i start spring semester.
 
I just ordered my camp tramp!!!!! :D :D :thumbup: Hopefully it will get here around christmas!!! :) With this purchase and a manix thats coming wendsday i should probably give my wallet a few months break :rolleyes: but anyway i cant waittttttt

You won't get an email notification. In fact, the only way to tell that it's coming is that it will show up on your CC. Once that happens, it will be a matter of "days" as opposed to "two weeks". ;)

I have a question on availability of your SR knives. I know you mentioned that the SR website will be updated soon (hopefully) but I am a little confused on which knives are currently available for ordering. I tried to order the Bog Dog only to find out it was discontinued (though I have one comming from a private seller :D ). So is there a list of what is currentlu available for ordering. I know you have a wait so I'd like to order a.s.a.p. The knife I am really interested in is the Ratweiler. With my luck it has probably been discontinued :grumpy: . Thanks.

I'll sneak in here for Eric and give you the lowdown. In hopes that Eric is busy hunting down some new blades for us.

There are two primary places that you'll need to check. The first is the order page on the Main Website. You'll see that the Ratweiler is still there, available for order. I'll be very sad if it ever gets discontinued.

You'll also want to check in at the Company Store for short run knives. Usually an announcement will be made on this forum and Rat Chat when knives are going up for sale there. When the store opens the knives don't last very long -- often less than ten minutes before they are all sold out.

Oooooooooops! :o I thought I had erased my previous post. I did not want to go off topic of the thread starters post. So I started a new thread for this. Thanks for the help 360joules. In fact I just ordered the Ratweiler and it's sheath. Now I have but to wait. Thanks again. :thumbup:
