Looking to get a Darker matt finish ????

I am looking to get a darker than matt grey finish on some blades
what media should I use to ubtain this finish, and what PSI should I run

Nathan, you might try a brief and somewhat diluted ferric choride wash over a blasted surface. It will definitely darken it.

I was thinking along those line also,I am about to work with some S30V,I prefer a hand rubbed satin finish,but if I find that is really hard and time consuming,I am going to do some blasting
or a stone wash type look on it.I do not care for a flat grey finish
I was also think about mixed media together 50/50 mix of
70 grit A/O and 90 grit ceramic beads.I am unsure what PSI to run it
at to get the finish I am after.I would like to see what some others have to say about this manner.One more thing I am unclear on is
how to get a good etch in a bead blasted or and Acid etched blade.
is it possible to burn it and not do the blacking step???
