I have contacted three different FB sheath makers and only one has even replied to my emails and he just doesn't have the time.
Not sure what else I can do to get a sheath made. If any leather craftsman want to make some money please let me know.

Steve,

Sorry I could not help you out, but there is a Sheath makers sub-forum here on Blade Forum. There are LOTS of makers there who will take custom orders.

What kinda tool do you need it made for?

Have you tried Rick Lowe or Heber (Wildman on the forum)? Both of them are usually pretty responsive ime.

Scraca, I have a pattern for the Esquire. Will email you in just a moment through the forums. If you don't get it, my email is wildmanh@yahoo.com.

Heber is usually very quick to respond via pm, but I just noticed that you can't pm since you're a registered member here on BF. I don't have his email though, perhaps someone else does? edit: never mind

Rick I always contact per email: ruger315@live.com

Good luck

Thanks for the vote. I just sent an email to him via the forums, with pricing and links to past work.

Rick and others also do good work. Hope you find what you're looking for.

BTW Email is fastest, but PM's work just fine. If Text works, feel free to shoot me an email with your # and I'll call or text you back. I get so much spam via phone I only give it out for the asking.

I can help you out. Check out my posts (mostly in Busse area) or my website (see signature).

I've used rick for several sheaths. He does travel some and I know he keeps long hours in the shop. I generally don't get concerned until 2 days go by with out hearing from him.

He makes a great sheath as do the other sheath makers here -

Good luck

No need for a sheath, just carry it around as you go about your day, leering at folks and whittling as fits your schedule. This worked out for me pretty well when I tried it with an ESEE Junglas. I whittled down a whole tree, made a table, and prepped the day's kill to boot:

I'd be willing to try it with a camp knife as well.

On second thought... maybe the sheathmaker's forum would be a good start...

Just for clarity, I think we did exchange emails about a sheath, but you opted to go a different direction. If my memory is incorrect, I apologize for the lapse in communication and would welcome the chance to do a sheath for you.

You never did get in touch with me but now that I look, I don't see where I contacted you at all. I sent you a message through Bladeforums but when I go to sent mail I don't see anything there. Not really sure what happened. I do apologize. I have Heber taking care of me but I do have some others to get made and I would like to try a few of you guys out so we will be in touch in the future. Hopefully this time I don't screw up when I try to contact you.

I'm glad that I'm able to get you what you want.

Get one of Ricks sheaths too, share the love. One of these days, I hope to add one of his sheaths to my stable.
