I'm looking for a supplier of Phospher Bronze in .005" to .015" thickness range to make folder washers from. I am currently getting it from McMaster and the various MSC companies but I'd like to go upstream a level for a wholesale and not retail purchase.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. I'll see if I can get it and list it for less than the industrial suppliers.

Tracy,

http://www.copper.org/

Under 'Resources' > 'Find Suppliers of Copper' > 'Fabricator Source Listing... then search for the metal you want in the form you want. It may be worth searching the same in the 'Service Center Listing'... the sellers may be retail but it's not MSC/McMaster-Carr type retail.

Also under 'Resources' is 'Standards + Properties' > 'Properties of Wrought and Cast Copper Alloys'... a person can find EVERY copper, brass, bronze and more about them than a person ever wanted to know. Also interesting to me is 'Typical Uses of Copper Alloys' under the same two headings.

If you have questions of any type, Copper.org has folks who will answer them. I've gotten great help.

Mike

PS - After posting, I searched 'phosphor bronze'... just to see... and got this... http://www.copper.org/search.jsp?charset=iso-8859-1&col=us&la=en&oq=phosphor+bronze&qt=phosphor+bronze. What a wonderful site this is...
