Hello,

A nice cane:

Far as I can tell, it's a blackthorn cane. The handle is antler or bone, and hooks very nicely. It's even articulated on a hinge joint to help this out!

The entire cane handles very well; it's on par with any sword I've run across, and better than many.

Whacked myself with this and with my jo staff to compare; this thing hurts a LOT more. Also, it bends but I cannot break it.

The tip is missing from the bottom and I hope to find a copper or brass one that works, and the handle was beginning to come off. I put it back on, but the only antiqued wood screws I could find have the wrong heads. I have an idea of something that make work even better and look great to boot.

Regards,

Josh

Look for sites that sell blackthorn canes.

Some of them have brass or copper ferules, in multiple sizes.

You can select one and epoxy it onto your stick.

A copper end-cap from the plumbing section will work wonderfully. Put it over a dowel and tap it with a hammer to give it some texture, then apply some Cold Blue to patina it.

Nice Blackthorn i have never seen one like it that color i mean here is a couple of pics of mine was my Grandfathers from Ireland more of a cane than a weapon still wouldnt want to get hit with it .
