like the title says, im lookn for an emerson, just wondering what all your favorites are and what you would sugest to me. thanks! also where to buy them at good prices. and im not looking for a huge blade either, i want to carry it alot. i genrally carry 3.5" blades so around there would be nice. also dont want it more than 5 oz really not a fan of tantos or the big bellys either. so idk what to get. lookn at the horseman, jorneyman, gentleman jim, maybe mini commander. i want a the blade for edc but still back up as defense blade. i like carrying one knife only. i carry to much other junk.

I love my UBR Commander with a Krein re grind. I love large knives and even though this knife is huge, it is rather slim and carries nicely.

I don't really like recurves or tanto's so that narrows it down quit a bit for me. I have a CQC13, I'd get a CQC8 if I found one for a decent price, other than that maybe a karambit.

My favorites are the super karambit and the Persian but I carry a horseman when I am not carrying my sebenza. I think the horseman is a great Edc knife.

I've owned quite a few, the only ones that have stayed is the CQC7 and the SOFCK.

I have several. The A100/mini A100 are my favorites but are not easy to open. Sometimes when my hands are wet they don't obtain a good purchase on the thumb disk. Quite pricey too.
The CQC-10 has an awesome blade style but I've found the handle to be too wide (spine to front) when gripping. Also a quite pricey model.
The Endeavor I don't have but I looked at several models. Every one had a thin liner lock compared to all the others. I usually measure the lock thickness around 1/16". The Endeavor had one even thinner and it would flex under grip pressure. I didn't care for that and again the Endeavor is a bit pricey.
I'd check out the Mini CQC-15 (I don't own one) but the price is a bit high.
I do have a Horseman, two actually. Best Emerson on the market. Good price, lock, ergonomics and easy blade sharpening.
I have been thinking about getting the Mini Commander too. Comarable price, size and ergonomics of the Horseman but you'd have to use a sharpening stick or at least the edge of a sharpening block to touch up the recurve edge.
Hope that helps.

I too like to keep my blades at around 3.5", I would recommend the Horseman or Mini CQC-15. I have both and love them. I also love my Mini Roadhouse, but, you mentioned that you don't favor Tantos. I also have a Gentleman Jim and it is great, but, I rarely EDC it, the blade is a tad longer, 3.75", and it has a nasty blade, not very sheeple friendly, it sucks, but , that matters to me. You really can't go wrong with Emerson and there are quite a few in the 3.5" range.
