Looks like a forgery

I would say yes. It actually looks more like an older "P" model in form and blade shape, but there are signs that it isn't the real deal. THe slabs are too thin, the lockbar cutout has too much gap, and the detent ball socket penetrates the lockbar for example. The fakes are getting better it seems.:grumpy:

I emailed the seller about his listing on the reeve asking him to remove but we will see what he says and I will post the email response if I get one.
 
i actually contacted ebay officials about this seller on ebay a while ago, he is a fraud and originally was posting these knives as being actual sebenzas. When i contacted the seller about it he stated and i quote "shut up you aren't even from here(he's Canadian), you don't know what you are talking about as well as you have no friends and way to muchy time. go ahead and report that you are a stoolie I don't care. as nicely as I can say it go to hell". so in turn im guessing ebay hasnt done anything else about this seller and its a shame. I can only see someone getting this knife thinking its a sebenza and the knife being junk. Oh, and he also states the knives are all custom hand made as well, which is obviously B.S. there china junk. Anyways i guess it will have to take more people getting screwed out of there money before ebay does anything about it. Its sad these items come up like this because it could potentially partially ruin Chris Reeves name.:mad:
 
Nothing can be done unless he is showing the CRK logo or saying it is a Chris Reeve. Someone should email him and ask what the packaging looks like...i.e. labels, inserts etc then forward it to CR if he admits or shows photos...

You're right. But he slipped up and showed the CR logo on the fake Nyala sheath. Dishonest and stupid is a dangerous combo.
 
I think that this guy has recently signed up on this forum. I don't Know it for a fact but there was a recent thread about a Zt fake and one of the posters was adamant and combative about the legitimacy of the copy. That member signed up on the 15th of aug seemingly after one of the other posters in the thread had contacted the eBay seller. I do admit that this is purely speculation on my part.

I noticed that the eBay seller in question does have a dpx hest folder copy that has a logo on the blade that looks like a dpx logo. This may be enough to get eBay to react.

That's funny; sounds like the guy that I was talking about earlier. I searched for his posts and seems that he had a short but prolific run (2 days 140+ posts of utter nonsense). Out of sheer contempt for this individual I contacted dpx to let them know about him. I am sure that he will enjoy that communication.

i think blademaster2011 was confronted by ebay authorities. his page had a ton of items for sale yesterday, and today there is none. I hardly think he was able to sell all the items over night, so Im thinking hes now banned from ebay. Im just assuming though, its not official yet.
