Saw a knife by Schrade, the SCHF1.... and I will be kind and say it is an homage to the CRK one piece knives. Right down to the tool kit in the handle.

I won't post a link, but if you visit a sight that is similar to a South American river you may be able to find it. The video is worth watching for entertainment, my favorite part being when they throw it.
 
Yep, looks like a CRK. I'm not super familiar with steel types but is 1070 High Carbon a "Premium" steel??? That guy in the video sure can throw a knife. I guess if you need something to throw in the trunk then for less than $60 you can have a CRK look-alike that you can really beat on and not worry about breaking, scratching or whatever.
 
Poking around within the BF site... I found the following from Knarfeng one of the Mods in the general forum re: 1070 steel.

"...1070 is appropriate for a large rough use knife that will see lots of batoning and chopping. It is less appropriate as a hunting and skinning knife, though it has been used for such in the past."
