Nice collection. I have yet to try the Macallan cask strength. My Macallan 12 year has been lonely lately, I got some Blanton's bourbon for Christmas and can't seem to put it down. Clint

I am sure just one shot would put me under the table. I'm going to have to go into training with Pbusby and Mark to be able to keep up with you guys at Blade.

Wait, isn't every night Scotch night? Anybody a fan of Islays? Ardbeg Uigedail is heaven on earth. Lagavulin doesn't last long around the Shooter household...

Or a plot and head stone. :p

And ... that might not even count as 'keeping up.' More like 'settlin' down.'

Yes, 762 Shooter, we do love us some single malt Scotch. I've got a few dozen brands laying about ... and I'm a light-weight in this group.

The Ardbeg's gone, but there's some Lagavulin 16 in the other room. And maybe a few other Islays (Bunnahabhain, Bruichladdich, Port Ellen, Laphroig, Bowmore, and etc).

These days, I must imbibe in moderation.

I'm going to hit the Scotch after I go start to run my flu decimated azz back into shape:grumpy:

No scotch tonight. It's gonna be a Feckin good night cause I'm having some Feckin whiskey instead!

That Macallan Cask Strength is one of my all time favorites.

I'm down to four single malts, Talisker Distiller's edition, Ardgeb 10, Lagavulin 16, and my prized Brora 21.

Not much of an expert having only graduated from the school of Jack and Crown a few years ago (on top of which being a huge Tequila fan), but I generally have a bottle or two around. This time it's the DoubleWood, which I like. For those with more experience in these things, any suggestions for ones to try/where to go from The Balvenie?

The Balvenie 15 year is VERY nice. Also the Suntory Yamazaki 12 year old is surprisingly excellent as well.

I'll bring a flask of something tasty when we go hunting for treasure  which needs to happen soon! :p When we know there's not going to be any rain :D

Good stuff here:D

Anyone ever had the Old Pulteney (esp. the 17y old)??? That one is my fav. dram.

It has the influence of the sea (salt, peat and smoke) but also the fruitiness/sweetness of a Speysider. On the palate the taste of the 17y Old Pulteney seems to shift. It's very special. If you like Scotch and you can find this whisky don't hesitate to buy:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
