We can use this thread to practice posting or check to see if everything is working okay.

I seem to have made it also. Now if I can figuire out the new format, I'll be all set. It looks like a more comprehensive system. Hope it works well. Later all........ :D

I've learned how to reply. So, after I get caught up I'll try to figure out how to post pix again.

I love new stuff. It gives me something to do trying to figure out how to make it work in my spare time.

I can't post pix via photopoint anymore either. It just shows the URL in the thread.

Maybe we have to pay to have this feature?

Dunno.

I notice about half the time after I post a reply I get stuck. I have to reload the bookmark to get back to the forum threads.

I'm an old fan of the saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I'll try post two pics from my site... a 12" Ghopte by Sanu, and large size balisong.

and

Hope you may enjoy them.

All I see is two Ghoptes but at least you got a pix rather than a link.

How do you set the time Spark is talking about?

Uncle, you're so quick!

I've just found out I posted wrong url for the second pic, and edited it as soon as I found. When I could see the result, Uncle already gave a comment.

Here you go, Uncle Bill...

Click on the button that says "user cp".

Then click on the button that says "edit options".

Scroll down to where it says "Date and Time options"

Select which timezone you are in.

Then select the button "Submit Modifications".

Voila...you're done.

Harry

Now I see both. Actually, I clicked the edit on your post and saw you had mistakenly posted the Ghopte twice.

Now let's see what happens here.

I tried to attach the above pix using the "attach file" option and it didn't attach anything.

I got the url link so now I'm going to edit the url to img and see what happens.

And here's the link with nothing to define it:

My time settings being off are why I was calling you in the wee hours, Uncle. It looked to me like you had just posted. My apologies again!

(editing to remove test img)

No problem, Spec. I had shut down for the night but got your message this AM and will send the wood handled village Monday with thanks.

Looks like I'll not be able to post pix in the forum but I guess we can click the link. What a pain.

Here's a pix from zing. Let's see what happens.

That figures. Zing is shutting down in a couple of days. It works and Photopoint which I'm stuck with doesn't.

Did you try "IMG" button above the message field?
It embeds UBB tag in message field like the older system.

I used to cheat by looking at other poster's syntax for posting pictures and links. When I tried to look at WrongFriend's post, it told me I didn't have permission.

Oh well. Let me try posting a picture as an experiment.

(Using "IMG" and "/IMG" enclosed in brackets before and after the internet address.).

This is from Ofoto, where I moved all my pictures from Zing. I think Ofoto is still free. Uploading was easy, but I had to right-click on the picture, do "Properties" to get the address of the picture.

Uncle,
This new forum has more bells and whistles than anything I've tried to use since I got rid of my E-Jag! :o I'm gonna try my hand at a PhotoPoint post:

The chances of this working on the first try are pretty slim, but here goes!;)

Well, I can see others are not faring much better than I have.

I've just transferred all my pix from zing to ofoto. At least they'll be saved somewhere and I guess I can try to figure out how to use them later.

I wonder if I could make new posts here now without screwing things up since the new software has been installed?
That would save me a bunch of money right now if I could.
Just don't wanna take a chance on being banned if it didn't work though.:(

Any suggestions?

Bro, I think it's too early to try. Give it a few days to settle down before you give it a shot.

And, if you want a computer Travis will get you one for less than a hundred bucks. Just let us know.
