Sorry for the lousy pic, knives look much much better in person.

As a Survivalist and Outdoor Enthusiast, these are "must have features":

1. 4-5.5 inches blade length
2. Drop Point
3. Full tang
4. Pommel end must be able to take pounding/pref.extended tang
5. Half or integral guard
6. Polished or satin blade finish NOT Black -- hard to see if lost or dropped
7. Orange Handles
8. Any steel -no preference (Just keep it sharp, I'll keep you sharper)
9. Lanyard hole
10. Must be under $200.00 (after all, this a tool not a trophy- Use it, abuse it, survive, and buy another IF needed.

"Save the beauties to admire use the beaters to make the fire."

Choices:
1. Modified SOG SEAL PUP ELITE- violates #2 and #4 but it's proven
2. Bark River Knife and Tool Bravo-1: Almost perfect except for #4
3. Martin Knives Surv9- violates #1,#2,#3,#4,#5,#10:but mighty nice to look at!
4. Modified Rat-3-Now meets all features
5. Fallkniven A1-violates #1,#7: Close but no cigar, rather "long blade" You gotta make the handles orange Fallkniven!
6. Busse Custom Shop Ash-1 Pumpkin : Beautiful knife but violates #1,#10: sorry can't bring myself to beat this knife down...but for someone who wanted a true survival knife this is the top-of-line!
7. Modified Becker Campanion BK2-orange braided paracord, exposed pommel for pounding, satin finish

And the Winner is...

Becker BK2
Quite possibly the perfect survival knife! Added the orange braided 550 paracord wrap (perfect for many survival chores, and easy to find), satin finished blade(again, easier to find than a black "tacticool" blade), exposed pommel/tang, inexpensive that you can buy at least 4 Bk2s for the price of 1 Busse Ash-1 if needed, carbon steel easy to sharpen (though read #8 so its a moot point) Thick spine like a Busse Combat--Half knife/half prybar if needed. It can be lashed/attached to a stick or branch to form a spear; as the handle holes are available from having removed the standard handle.

I've searched high and low for my perfect survival knife! This is it! No tears fall when you use this badboy. Looks sharp and cuts sharp!

Nice collection. They certainly should be easy to see if you drop one in the woods.

My rc4 and my pimped mini skirmish and l sebenza.

Nice! Who did them for you (assuming you didn't do them yourself)? I wanna get some stuff like that done... mind PMing me info on what you paid (well, I guess I don't have PM's but it should send an email)?

Thanks
