Loose 0550 pivot screw

I recently got a Digi cam scale from Rival for my 0550. Removed the original scale and replaced it with the new one.

This is my problem. After tightening down the screws, I find that after adjusting the pivot screw it loosens up.
I see that the new scale is thicker than the original does that make a difference?

Is Loctite the solution to this problem, if so, which one, or is there another way to prevent the screw from unscrewing?
TIA

I use Blue Loctite on the pivot of my Emersons. It works very well and it's not permanent like the Red Loctite.

A little goes a long way. Clean the threads on the screw thoroughly and follow the instructions on the tube.

I also use blue loctite. My replacement scales are a hair thicker than stock, but I ensure my countersink matcxhes the factory depth to allow for a centered blade:-)

The break strength listed on the package says its good for another 15-20 inch lbs. Its also surface insensitive.
