I have an old model AFCK(ATS-34). The pivot screw work itself loose from time to time. Is it OK to Locktite this screw?

Use just a tiny dab of blue or purple thread locking adhesive.
These adhesives generally come in a bottle with a dropper top. The drop size is way to big for such a small screw (they're made for the bridge-building market). Use the dropper cap to put a drop onto a sheet of waxed paper and then use a toothpick to transfer just enough to cover maybe three threads to the screw.
