Hi all, I have a CRKT M16-13SF and I was stupid enough to leave it sitting out and random "friend" in the dorm took it apart, now the blade has a slight, forward/backward and side to side movement. I don't know if my friend left something out, and I haven't been able to find any break apart diagrams of the knife. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I'm new to this site. John

Srry, i'm very new to all of this knife stuff, so just to get it right, the pivot, is the bolt that the blade rotates on, and i don't know what the stop pin is. lol I know this is very very sad....

Sounds like they might have lost your bushing when they put it back together look from the top where the blade rotates you should see a white washer on one side if not thats whats missing .

There is no stop pin on the M16 or M21 series. The thumb studs butt against the scales. Here's a pic containing all the parts of the M16, which IIRC is similar to the M21 series... it was sent to me by CRKT tech support.

I have the white bushing, but I'm missing the O-ring. So i'll get one and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks Splat for the pix.

I put in a rubber washer, and the knife is nice and tight again! thanks so much for your help!

Not to steal the thread, i have an old m16 without the autolawks. If i buy a newer one and remove the spring, will it act like the older ones where you manually engage it or will it be weird?

It should be just like the old ones, but what do you mean by weird?

I didn't know if the spring did anything to stop the rotation of the knife and if id have to engage it manually itd be a pain. I forget if my m16 has a stop pin.
