i'm not sure what happened, but the blade on my 110 is loose as crap. it has always had a little side to side play, but that was no biggie.

today it's got a lot of slack when opening.....so much i can "flick" it open! then when locked, it has play.

i know i have dropped it a couple of times, i might have knocked something outta whack.

i remember a thread about getting one tighter by putting it between phone books and beating it? something like that...

suggestions please

There is also a thread about using a couple of blocks of medium grade fiber board and a large vise. Use the fiber board to protect the brass from the jaws of the vise and squeeze the bolsters where the pivot pin is. I have done this with both brass and nickle bolsters. I have tightened some of my ebay fixeruppers and a couple even this didn't help. Good luck

Roto,

I gotta figger something is radically wrong. I've dropped my edc 110's many times with nothing more than a new flat spot in the bolster. If you havent done anything "unnatural" to it, I'd send it in and let Buck fix it. How bout some pics, what year is it? If its real old and been used and normal wear and tear have just taken toll, maybe a different story-call buck and let them decide.

nope, pretty new, i got it in nov? it was one of those "tin display" 110's....mirror blade, etc. it was 1/2 price on amazon of a regular 110, so i got it for edc.

it's only been used to cut tape on packages, no heavy use at all.....almost no use at all!

it's gotta go back. i was just checking it out a little closer. it will act like it's locked, but if you push down on the blade, it will close...just a *touch* unsafe:)

crap, thanks anyway, i was hoping for an easy fix

Somethings really wrong with your knife inorder for it to do that . Buck can fix it . DM
