loose buffalo soldier slabs - corrosion problem?

just wonderin if anyone else has this on their buffalo soldiers - i can see light through the left hand slab (when the blade is pointing away from me), and near the tip of the right hand slab (near the blade).


by my logic, that could allow mud and sand and such to get under it, or, at worste, its some other problem that could end up with one of the fasteners coming undone.

i checked my other 4 busse's, and none of them have anything like that - they are all very, very flush against the handle.

is there a way to tighten the fasteners (get the slabs closer)? (i reeealy dont want to be with out it in order to send it to the shop, and id rather not bother an already hard working crew)

Well there is no way to tighten them yourself so you have two options.
1-Wait until it actually causes a problem and send it in for repair.
or
2-Send it in for repair now.
