Loose endcap

Well, after 15 full power chops into hard wood with my village Dhankuta, the endcap is loose already. There is probably about half a milimeter of play in it. Is this something that I can fix with epoxy or is it more serious and needs to be returned?

Good Epoxy fixed my 15"AK. Don't get the quick dry stuff. Get as much epoxy as you can under the cap. Should work fine.

Epoxy works great. Get the stuff that takes longer to set, at least one day. Apparently the longer set time epoxies are stronger and you will have more time to work it between the handle and butt cap. A large diameter syringe or a needle will help force the epoxy into small cracks.

My 22 AK has a crack that ran the entire length of the handle. It is probably stronger than a new handle after applying epoxy.

I have seen very rugged knife handles made completely from epoxy.

Thanks, Will. Remember our New Zealand pal, Daniel, who made the entire buttcap from epoxy? It is still working.
