loose knife

I recently bought an LB7 serial #42379, which I thought was nice since if I understand the numbering it is the fourtysecond thousandth LB made? Well, anyway the blade is kinda of loose when open side to side mostly, very tight when closed though. Is there any way to tighten up the blade when it is open? Am new to collecting although have had an LB7 since 1973 (lost and replaced many).

I can't really tell you the definitive answer but possibly someone in the maintence and tinkering Forum might be able to shed some light on the ?

If blade wobble is going to be fixed, I think the knife has to be taken apart. Probably about as economical to find a new one, unless you want to tackle it yourself. Someone around here knows the answer.
