Loose lanyard tube on Domino

I absolutely love my new Domino. Got it a couple of weeks ago and I'm still blown away with the smooth action and the fit and finish. BUT...for some reason, a few days ago, I noticed a rattling sound. If I shake the knife, or just move it around in my hand, I can hear it, and I don't like it at all. It's the lanyard tube. I guess maybe it's loose? Not sure how that could have happened (I don't even have a lanyard on the knife), but I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions to make this stop.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Try to get some white glue around the tube..
If it doesn't work it's easy to clean out. .

I repaired the loose tube in my Starmate using a screwdriver bit.
I've got hundreds of them so I found the correct size and used the taper on the bit as a swage and tapped with a hammer to expand the tube till it stopped rattling. Didn't take much.
On my Domino I just removed the tube altogether.

If you don't have a flaring tool a tapered punch and gentle application of a hammer should do the trick.

I think this is the first time I've heard of this, normally hear about how tight they fit, making it a bear to get the knife apart, and almost worse to get it reassembled.

My domino also has a loose lanyard tube but it doesn't bother me, I also do not use a lanyard. IF its ever apart for any reason I might put some loctite on it but that would be it.

Agreed, take it out. ;)

I have heard of the use of a punch and a light tap of a hammer to expand the tube out. Not personal experience though, just hear say.

Thanks so much for all the replies, guys. I think I'll try a bit of loctite first, and see if that changes anything. It's interesting that a couple of other people in this thread have the same issue. nccole, and Barman1, GREAT pictures!
