Just had some commo with Shon and he started checking machetes and found that some went out with loose handles because the tang thickness on this last batch from Imacasa is not consistent. So, if you have a Lite Machete with loose handles then let us know and we will fix it. Sorry for this and there are only a few that went out that way because we just started to handle this new batch of blades. The issue has been fixed though.

What's considered a normal amount of movement? I recently ordered 3 Lite machete's (1s' mine, the others are friends) and the 2 I have on hand (don't know about the third) have side to side movement, it's not visually noticeable, you can only feel it if you shake them side to side (or wiggle the blade with your hand).

I thought about asking on the forum about it when I got them, but they seem to function fine (two of us cut down a sizable portion of a Morton Bay Fig tree, I'll post pics soon) and realistically, with what Australia post charges (and how long I'd be without a machete), I wasn't going to send them back anyway unless they failed catastrophically.

You really shouldn't have any side-side play, that seems highly unusual. You mentioned the cost of shipping, knowing Jeff he'll probably pay for it. He's a damn nice fella:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Funk is right, and Jeff will atleast meet you half-way with shipping costs if it is that big of a deal. We all can attest Jeff will do whatever he can to make sure his product is as it should be.

No one should ever assume anything about me. I appreciate the kudos but please don't assume.

Punisher, if you want your machete replaced then email me and we will work something out. jeff@eseeknives.com

Punisher, If you decide you want to change the blade let us know and we can ship you a replacement blade that should fit your handles. Sorry for the problem.
