I have an ad15 lite bought new in box that has developed a lot of side to side play in the lockbar when blade is open and some while closed.. The blade lock up is solid when open,no play at all. Was wondering if this is normal with this design and needs to have the Lockbar pivot adjusted periodically? I found it disconcerting. Really love this knife

Loose Lockbar ad15

How "loose" is it? I have a regular AD15 and a Lite, and on both I can move the lock bar side to side a bit, since the space between the arms is wider than the blade is thick. But it seems like it is due more to things flexing than actual play.
Maybe 1/8" OR so. Loo,king closer at mine I see what you describe, that the lockbar opening is wider then the blades width. I guess if it wasn't the mechanism wouldn't function. Still wondering if this play will grow with wear and if so might it be a cause for failure? It was so tight out of the box a couple of weeks ago that was hard to unlock and close but now I can pinch and drop flick open and closed. Interesting change from the usual lockback and becoming my favorite, so hope it won't be a future issue.
