Loose pivot screw

I've got a problem with my Kershaw Blur. If the screw is too tight, it won't open effectively, but if it's ever so loose, there seems to be a bit of side to side blade play. For some reason this darn screw can't go 10-20 openings without crossing that "too loose" threshold. What can I do about this to make sure it stays at the right setting guys? :grumpy:

Have you used thread lock? The blue thread lock is what was suggested to my by Kershaw for my clip screws. Let me know if that works

Take the pivot screw out of the knife, put a small drop of Loctite on the threads. A little is all you need, maybe the size of a grain of rice. Let it sit for a few seconds and then screw it back in. Set the tension you want and let the knife sit closed over night.

I hate to bump this, but I have no history with Loctite, so I went and bought Loctite Outdoor adhesive instead of a threadlock solution lol... Would this work or is it a bad idea to try? :o

I've had the same problem with various liner/frame locks and assisted openers. I've used Loctite Superglue Gel just as suggested above and haven't had any problems since.

You need thread locker, that is what you are trying to do. Go to any hardware store and ask for blue loctite, follow the directions on the package, problem solved. It should not be over complicate to such a level.
