On my new Buck 500 I noticed one of the scales have come loose. It moves, but it is a very small amount. I thought about tapping on the rivit to make it tighter, but did not want to mess the wood up. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
John

If it is just a question of tacking it to keep it from shifting a little bit you might try just a drop of crazy glue to hold it still. I would put just a small drop of glue at the corner where the scale meets the bolster and let capillary action draw the glue under the scale. Any excess glue can be drawn off using a Kleenex and more capillary action. It wont move after that.

There is not much movment, but I was able to slide the scale over just enough to get some glue in there. It seems like it is holding fine. I did not think it would work as there was not really any gaps for the glue to get into, but some got in there. Thanks for the advise.

Thanks,
John
