Loose Scales on SAK

Hello All - I have a couple of older SAK's with loose scales on them and was wondering what the best method is to fix them. They are Tinkers and Hunters that get used a lot and have the factory red scales on them. One is loose and the other keeps falling off. Any suggestions?

I don't get it here in the UK but I've been told many times that Goop is excellent for scales. If you go for the superglue option then really don't over do it as it can sometimes react with the scales. That said I've often used it myself without any problems, just add a drop or two to the brass pin heads on the SAK.

I've never had cyanoacrylate react with the plastic scales, the only problem I've heard of it using acetone to get off the superglue(which will also melt the scales). Do what Mike L said, pry them off, put a lil drop of superglue into the hole where the pins go into and pop them back on and wait a couple hours for it to fully set.

The only reaction I've has was that when I glued it on it ended up forming a little dimple in the scale right where the pins were. That was a while back and I've since used a different brand with no problems. Perhaps it was something unique to the formula of the previous brand? Unfortunately I can't remember what brand the older stuff was.

I experienced dimpling on the set of scales that I glued back on. Still functions fine, and I kind of like it.
