Loose Threads on Arc LS?

I finally managed to get an Arc LS. I love it, but I am having a peculiar problem with the thing... The threads are loose enough that I can't rely on it. It turned itself on in my pocket once. It has unscrewed itself and come apart twice, once in my pocket and once while hanging from my belt loop.

Is this a common problem? Is there a recommended fix?

Mine is a factory second that I picked up on eBay, so returning it to Arc is not an option for me.

you might want to post about this in the ARC forum at candlepowerforums.com.

Is it possible that you are using the older twist-on battery pack with one of the newer heads? I can't follow all the different variations of this light, but I know the guys on the ARC forum will surely be able to help. I know that they were phasing these packs out and replacing them with a tail switch one that supposedly is much more reliable.

(and for a good laugh, check out some of the threads there on the LS3. Some folks were really getting pissy cause they really wanted that light! Reminds me of the Cabbage Patch kid fiascos back in California)
