This is pretty wierd. I keep seeing this ad on tv. I think its for mc donalds, and there giving away cups with the happy meals. And there are different charcters that are on the cups, and for one of the cups, it goes "and Strider the Ranger". WTF is that all about. BTW , the lord of the rings is a kids movie.

What the heck? You don't know about Strider from LoTR?! He's one bad mutha. I hope it doesn't turn out to be a "kids movie". I read the trilogy the first time when I was like 12, and I think it seriously bruised my brain. Pretty tough reading for a kid, IMO (maybe I'm just a half-wit). Anyway, I just re-read them this year. Pretty good books!

The whole Strider thing pisses me off a little though because every time I look for "Strider + knife" on eBay (don't start with me) I get Lord of the Rings crap.

Anyway, cool books, cool character, COOL KNIVES and hopefully a decent movie.

Lets just say I was grounded for at least half my child life. With a Dad that likes to work 24/7. But Im going to go see the movie, the movies.com site says it comes out Dec, 15.. And there is another that is going to come out in 2003, and 2004. Go check it out. www.Movies.com and type lord of the rings in the search.

December 19th for Fellowship, 2002 for Two Towers, and 2003 for Return of the King.

As for knife content, if Strider carried a Strider, he would have had a LOT less problems along the way...

I can see him with a Mantrack AND an Ajax, witha SEAL 2001 in his boot.
