All of your knives really speak out......Such great, organic, sublime designs!!👍👍👍
Great work..
thank you so much! 'Organic' and 'sublime' are two words that I'm pleased to hear associated with my work :)
Oooh. I could stand to hear more about the Albatross!
what would you like to know?
I have at least two on my work list which I'll be starting fairly soon

What are the dimensions of it? What are you making them out of currently?

here's a link to the Cormorant thread in my subbie; https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/cormorant.1947992/

I used Cruwear for this design, it has a nice balance of attributes.

Highly wear resistant steels are also a good choice; S90V, M4, S110V etc also not a bad call. AEB-L, although not as wear resistant, would probably be my go to choice, though. Excellent edge stability, high toughness at high hardness, stainlessness and ease of sharpening are characteristics I like in AEB-L for general purpose utility knives

this is called Roundhouse, and it's based off a folding knife I designed which was produced by Boker

Your work is truly magnificent! That Tilikum is absolutely beautiful, the curves and that swedge/false edge look quite nice.

thank you very much, that's nice of you to say! Tilikum was a pretty early piece, I still have an aluminum template and I've been thinking on revisiting it now that I know more than I did about how to go about making knives

unrelated, but I think I read your handle wrong at first...or did I?
🤣

It would be nice to see if you do anything different with it if you make one again.

Haha, it is an homage to a classic SNL Jeopardy sketch, so you probably read it right.

Love that jungle brother and the roundhouse fixed blade!
there is a plan formulating to revisit Roundhouse soon. I think it will be my first knife with bolsters- it was designed for them but at that time I wasn't confident my skillset would allow me to do that efficiently. I've learned a lot and ain't tripping all over myself anymore, so it's almost about time to take a shot. I'm thinking tapered tang as well, might as well make it as challenging as possible at this point!
