That was quick.

And I'm curiously still hungry...

Thanks guys, I really love the stag handled ones. This will make my fourth stag handled knife by Dil. Each one is unique. Dil does great work. I'll try to lay off on the sharking in the future, but I make no promises;). I really haven't been stalking the forum that much; just having really good luck lately.:)

This knife actually looks more like a Katunje than a pachtar. All the other stag handled knives I have by Dil are Katunje's also and this looks very similar.

I was wondering about that either. Or maybe Dil Kami's interpretation of a pachthar is different to Vim Kami's, who knows.

Good eye, you are exactly right. Beautiful handle on this one adds the bit of extra length and weight. The "classic" "yangdu special katunjes" were all right at 13" and 13 oz.. Very similar to this blade, but with much shorter handles.

Happy Losar! I was just told that this is "the year of the iron rabbit" in the Tibetan calendar!
