My Sog Super Bowie,

Well my peaceful little area of the Adirondacks was disrupted last week, by the escape of two murderous prisoners from Dannemora. I am close enough for extra caution.

I have been messing around quite a bit with my Nessmuk hatchet and knife lately. But during the week when I went out to cook. When I reached for a knife the some dinner chores.

I kept hearing Tommy Lee Jones saying, "Lose that nickel plated sissy knife and get yourself a Sog"

So I took my Super Bowie, kind of like a woobie for knife guys.

I haven't used this knife a ton. It came to me lightly used. With a hole in the sheath from where the previous owner stuck the tip through. Initially the coating wore off, but that seems to have leveled off.

When I have used it, the Super Bowie shines. It has taken all the abuse I have tossed its way, without complaining. I continue to develop trust in this knife. Here it is reducing wood to some dinner sized pieces,

Breaking wood down is a piece of cake for this beast,

Soon enough I had a pile of dry wood to get things started.

For a big knife like the Super Bowie breaking wood down is no big deal, and quality results should be expected. But where this knife really shines is in making feather sticks. For a big honking blade it does a phenomenal job.

It works as well as any of my woods knives. Just grab a stick and start slicing.

It is a big blade and requires some thought. But it is easy to work with and it's well balanced. Although, it does scare the uninitiated a bit.

It continues to grow on me,

So much so that it has me thinking about snagging an S-1 Bowie.

Sweet man sized sog and review!
If that Bowie continues to grow any larger
Them felons had better not make the mistake
of showing up at your front door.
Stay safe but I know you're in good hands.

Ha!

You give me too much credit. I'm afraid of the Mall,
This is Ma's basement,

Made this out of the bathroom door,
