Well I did it.I lost my first knife.Spyderco dyad.It was clipped to my pocket and the edge of the clip must have caught on the edge of my rain coat and pulled it free. Can`t find it with all the snow on the ground,so I guess im gona have to wait for it to melt. This brings me to ask everyone,How often do you check to make sure your knife is still in its sheath or clipped to your pocket?I have a bad habbit of doing this.Maybe its a good habit,But I seem to do it like every 10 minutes or so.My heart is broken......I loved that knife.

When I was a little kid I used to loose all kinds of things out of my pocket. Now I'm paranoid, cause my toys are little more valuable. It sucks that you lost your Dyad. Walking around campus I usually check all my pockets before I leave somewhere, and when I get to my destination. I think it's a good habit...that was you can narrow down where you dropped something if it's no longer in your pockets.

I check every 5-10 minutes almost just by habit. The more expensive the more I check. With my daily carry GT I cant count how many times a day my hand goes down for a touch.

Hope you find it soon. Its like lossing a trusty friend. I don't know what I would do.

Its seem to happen to everyone sooner or later.

I check my pockets constantly. I don't really even think about it , just every once in awhile reach back and make sure my knife's still clipped in my back pocket.I'm probably scaring the hell out of all the non knife people I'm around, they probably think it looks like I'm about to pull a knife on them. Oh well, I'd rather scare them than lose my knife

stihl I am feeling with you.
I'm also constantly checking my pockets. in fact I'm more worried to lose my knife than my briefcase.
