Well, I thought it would never happen to me.

I have accepted the fact that I have lost my week old Spyderco Roadie .

Have any of you lost knives? Of course you have, let me hear your stories.

How did you get over your loss?

I lost a Damascus Skyline. I put up signs, searched the net and asked for help finding another on the forums. I got over it when I finally got another. Now Kershaw is making more, so it's all good.

Sorry to hear that. Buy another one. Gotta let it go man

Several cheap kershaws. All by the wife. I think they may be in her luggage or the hill of old purses she refuses to part with.

I just buy more. I don't mind the lost. She carries when she travels for work to the mainland. She's a foodie and will go to sketchy areas to eat at places she's heard about.

I've never lost any of the knives I use. Knock on wood.

In sketchy areas, there's sketchy service. Just sayin'...

The first "real" knife I ever purchased, and the one that started me down this dark road of knife addiction was lost.

I had a SOG Vulcan. Not a cheap knife at all. Always wore it clipped to the outside of my pocket because I always had my hands in my pockets. Not exactly sure what I did to make it come off, but it disappeared in a mall parking lot. I know it was there when I was walking out of the mall, but it wasn't there when I got home. Tore my car apart looking for it. I was sick to my stomach for a couple days. To be honest, I never really got over it. So, eventually I got another one. That did the trick. Also, I haven't wore a knife clipped outside my pocket since. Coincidentally, I haven't lost a knife that has a pocket clip either.

Lost my first SAK in a river. Pocket let go on an old pair of jeans. Down the leg. Bounced over the edge of the bridge. I was about 14. Was my first non cheaply made knife.

I lost a pocketknife or two as a kid, but the last one was 10ish years ago in college, when a Gerber A-F mini covert fell out of my swimtrunks pocket (weak clip I guess) and became intimately acquainted with the bottom of the South Llano River. I was pretty bummed because that was a high dollar knife for me at the time, and was my favorite even for years after. How tastes change......

I lost a mini mitigh , was the first knife I had that I really fell in love with but losing it and trying to replace it took me down the path to searching for and buying more knives

Camillus EDC. If I knew where I lost it, I'd still be there scouring the ground.

I'm not over it, and I haven't found another.

If you see one, let me know.

Lost a Spyderco Native once walking the dog. Sucks but not much you can do but replace it and drive on.

I lost my SAK for several months. My wife's uncle found it in their couch when moving furniture around. It had slipped out of my pocket when I took a nap after Thanksgiving dinner. Glad to have found it, it was my first SAK.

I got a Kershaw Cryo that just disappeared off the face of the Earth. I turned the house upside down looking for it, to no avail.

I lost an H1 Ladybug. Most likely it fell out of my pocket when I got my keys out to open a door. I tried retracing my steps on my way home from work, but I couldn't find it.

I recently moved - so I am still in the process of tracking down a few of my knives (one being a Spyderco Sage - arggh).

This doesnt count as being lost - but in the late 90's I had a car towed on me and it had one of the original SOG Tomcats in there.
When I went to get my car - the car was disheveled inside and my Tomcat missing - though they say they didn't take it, but I *know* they did.

Well, I thought it would never happen to me.

My first good knife was my Spyderco Manix 2 Stag edition sprint run. At the time I bought it not because it was a Stag knife, but because it was the only way to get a full flat ground black blade on a Manix 2. I have a Stag AR15 too, so I did like that my knife matched my rifle, but mainly I bought it for the blade. I loved that knife, and carried it daily. I lost it this past December after carrying it daily for almost 2 years. I replaced it with a new Manix 2, which is now available with a black flat ground blade. The knife works just as well as that Stag knife, but it completely lacks the personality of that Stag knife. I miss that Stag. :(

Luckily I've never lost something that had any value/ was prepared to lose. First was a $20 m16 tanto while floating down current river in Missouri, came in handy with my paracord for tying rafts together. Second was my sak tinker that just disappeared. But good news, I had lost my flashlight around Christmas (eagletac d25a ti) which got more use than any knife I own. Fast forward to Easter months later after giving up all hope and pricing new new ones, we go to my cousins where we also had Christmas, I ask if they found a little flashlight and my cousin said yes! Minutes later we were reunited, and I've been complete again!

I lost a hibben throwing knife once. It hit the dirt and just disappeared. No idea where it went. It was like quicksand.

I dropped my first "real knife" that I bought while fishing a pier, I saw it drop into the ocean like it was slow motion.

I lost a buck 119 that I got as a gift when I was a kid. I suspect my son has it, but I am ok with that as I was hoping to give it to him some day.
