One of the two screws holding the clip on my XM-18 worked itself lose and disappeared. Anyone know what size the screw is and where I can get another one? Or probably emailing Rick the best bet?
There was a video review posted on YouTube a few days ago on the XM-18.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe he mentioned that even the screws for the XM-18 were custom made either by or for Hinderer. I can't help but imagine they are a standard size; however, it may be that the head required for flushness is something a bit... special.
I thought they were just standard looking 2-56 screws on mine and the ones I've worked on for folks so its worth a try at least to find out. If you are any kind of a knife nut you probably have other knives that one screw can be borrowed off of to see if it screws down. Don't force it or anything but if you were to try a typical BenchMade pocket clip screw you could at least find out and it may just work until Rick can send you one.
The heads of the screw or the size of the wrench driver needed are probably all thats proprietary if the threads are just a standard 2-56. Other knives using 2-56 screws are numerous. The Mini and full size Manix and a lot of other Spydercos made in Golden Colorado if not all of them made there and many Kershaw folders like the Leek and other popular models.
