I've had this knife since the late 80's, a Swiss Army Executive model
unfortunately New Graham Knives only had the Red version in stock
I've torn up the house and car and work office area, no findee :(

I use it all the time, it truly is an every day carrry knife, but more a
tool using the tools on there and scissors a lot all the time, I took
a drive to all the stores in my area today but no luck, no one had
that type in stock, red or black, even the Boy Scout store didn't carry
that model.

So now I have to wait on a red one coming from our friends at New Graham Knives....

What knife have you lost and couldn't live without? and gone out and replaced it?

A pearl handled Gerber Silver Knight. Wife gave it to me in the early 80's. Didn't carry it too much but it sure was pretty. It disappeared and I couldn't find it anywhere. Couldn't find a replacement. This happened well before the internet shopping era. Found it when we moved. It must have fallen out of my pants. Found it between the waterbed mattress and liner. You check your clothes hamper yet? I've recovered a few "lost" knives in mine.

Yep, did a clothes hamper dump this morning, checked all my jackets
check the car and van, tipped chairs and couch on end, no luck yet!

I figured since I ordered it, NOW it will show up :)
and thanks to the folks that emailed and PM'd me with some directions
to a store on the internet that has the knife I was looking for, but as
usual, already ordered but I've book marked the site for future reference!

I am sorry that you lost that knife!! That stinks. I DO hope you find it!

It's is upsetting to lose a friend. I've carried a BM Leopard Cub PE for 10 years now. My webguy tried to shame me into getting a new one in front of Pat Crawford last year at Blade. I think Pat felt the knife was worn out, but I also think he knew the value of a trusted "friend". I thought I found a NIB version earlier in the week, but it was gone time I got there. Thousands of new knives in the store and I can't bring myself to retiring the 612.
I feel your pain Gary.

I lost a Benchmade 3550Mel Pardue at a ski resort I was working at part time making snow. Dang. I always wonder if someone got a nice knofe after the snow melted.

Never give up hope, I just found 2 out of 3 knives that have been lost over 6 months, found 'em clipped to button holes on a flannel shirt.

thanks all, it's sad to miss it for sure, it may well turn up, but if it does
I'll retire her to the 'drawer'
And Michael, that is a nice knife! I don't blame you one bit!

When I called down today, the only other thing I was interested in was
either a satin small rukus or a Deja Voo, but neither was there yet, she
said to check back later, the steel virus is starting to come back a bit!

Not necissarily a bad thing. :) :o

My wife lost a Pirhana auto in yellowstone a couple summers ago. We had to get it replaced. She missed it lots.

I lost a Leek, so replaced it and found it a few months later. Now I've got 2. A good thing.

I also lost a 3550 about 3 years ago ( I think it grew legs and walked off :( ).

I had gotten that knife the first Christmas the wife and I were together. This is one knife that I had to replace.

I hope you find your knife.

Best of luck,
John

Sorry to hear that, sir. I'm sure you'll find this one will serve you as well as the last, and like rnr said it's not a bad thing to have 2.

i lost my Swisschamp a few years ago and broke down and bought a new one

a week or so later my roommate's dog pulled it out of the couch

so i shelved the new one and had the old one stolen a few months later :(

A bad business! Could still turn up:thumbup:

Wonder which knives you wouldn't mind losing.....? For me, It's this horrible overpriced Böker Walker design folder. The lockup is totally unsafe:eek:

I've both lost and had confiscated by LEOs a few Spyderco Delicas.
Mostly 1st and 2nd Gen. models. Don't know why, but I always replace them.
The latest versions are a standard and a Waved Delica4. (Both Plain-edged, but I've had fully serrated models once too). The standard version will be part of an Emergency kit because of its street-legal length and flat profile.

Well, probably not many, lost a Rigid folder once a long time ago, the following
summer when my wife was mowing the lawn, she spotted it shining in the grass. I remembered then I was 'jumping' up chopping off some offending limbs
of a near by tree ;) it sat the entire winter, with little or no damage, but
I didn't miss it enough to buy another one, where the Executive is just
plain out too useful for me to go without!

for a week I was looking for my Strider WP ( that I shortened to a legal NV carry 3" blade length ).... well finally my wife asked me just WTF I was looking for , when I told her she said " Oh I been carrying it , its quite handy ya know ".....

:)

Did you let her keep it? :D

My first mod was a Caly Jr.( STR helped a lot!) with the ZDP blade and I had it with titanium liners and ivory micarta( Westinghouse leftover) and I really made it to fit my hands and promised to be my edc forever. Went out with my granddaughter and lifted(2 years old) and played with her the whole day. Got home and my knife was not clipped to my pocket anymore. Went to search the food places we went , gone!
