So, I had one Buck pocket knife. Last year, my dad gave me a Camillus made, '71-'74 (same vintage as me) 303 stockman. I loved it. It never left my pocket. It sharpened up really nice, and kept it reasonably well. Having three blades meant I always had a sharp cutter with me. It just felt good in the hand, and I think is starting me on a new collecting path. However, it is now gone. :grumpy: We did our inventory count on Saturday, and I haven't seen my knife since. I'm still hopeful that it is in the car or in the cushions of my easy chair, but no luck yet. What's eerie about this is, last year, when we did inventory at work, I lost another traditional knife, my Queen D2 Canoe. Loved that one, too. I'm thinking I need a new job, before another inventory count!;) My only other Buck was a 105 FB, but last time I pulled it out of the sheath, the blade was broken off. Don't know how or why, but it's broke. I am now Buck-less.

Sounds like someone is taking your inventory while your counting inventory:D That drives me nuts when I lose something, hope you find it soon.

Sounds like you need a knife with a lanyard on it. Or a case that you can carry in your pocket so the knife doesn't slide out of your pocket.

Thats a drag-hate to loose anything esp a knife and now to be Buckless:eek:
2 words e bay.....and quickly.

I find this interesting. FB (I believe) means it was a factory blemish. But in my feeble, I believe that means cosmetic.

I think I would email Joe maybe with a pic.

I believe in this case FB means Fixed Blade.;)
Sorry to hear of the loss, hope it turns up soon.

I did mean "fixed-blade". I sometimes forget what sub-forum this is, and feel the need to go beyond the simple "105", and explain that it is a fixed blade model, as if you all don't already know that!

Kbras,
Sometimes we forget that we are getting new guys in here everyday and have no idea what models are what. So I think the extra info is always a good idea. I have really learned quite a bit about Bucks in the two years I have been lurking here.

Hey Buck-Brethren! I am back in the fold. My 303 has been found! Last night, as I was getting in bed, I moved my guitar case, and there it was!

I feel whole again.

I know the feeling, I was emptying my pocket late last night and noticed my 112 Bucklite(422) was gone. I know i had it right at quittin time. The foreman was going to be onsite to let a sub in to work in the room where I had it last so i called him this morning but he said it wasn't there. My only hope is I put it in my raincoat, which I left in the breakroom to dry. I'll find out Monday morning. What a way to start the weekend.

Glad you found you're knife!Sometimes knives disappear into a parallel dimension sort of like a sock. If you didn't lose to much tip on that 105 maybe Buck could re-profile it for you.

Unfortunately, the 105 broke right at the hilt. I know Buck has a fantastic warranty, but I never sent it in because I don't know how it happened, and I don't want to take advantage. For all I know, it got stepped on. I doubt that is covered.
