lost dragonfly

ive never lost a knife before. i dont recall misplacing one either. this is a very strange sensation. i had one stolen once and this is similar. ive always thought the wire clip was sufficient at holding it in but maybe my chapstick pushed it out when i was bending to pick something up or something. i checked my car, locker at work, parking lot, driveway, pants i wore yesterday and the week before, lunchbox, the current whereabout of the rest of my collection still has the hole where it should be right between my manbug and stretch, so i did in fact have it yesterday. i will ask the janitorial staff if they saw it perhaps. any ideas where else to look
 
How many other people reached down to check their knives when reading the post?

Check between the cushions on the couch. That's were my Dragonfly was hiding for several weeks.
 
Mmm...sit down and do a slow methodical step by step of the day. A lot of times when I misplace something it's because I have my hands full or I'm in a weird place and I have to set something down in a really random place where I'd normally never leave something. e.g. Set the screwdriver on top of the fridge while on a ladder changing a bulb. Next thing you know, I can't find the screwdriver and the top of the refrigerator is the LAST place I'm thinking. So try playing back that whole days videotape as slow as you can. Probably won't help but it's worth a shot. You never know, you might get a "v-8 moment"
 
the really pretty cleanup lady said she thinks she swept it up and tossed it, and didnt bother to pick it up since guys who shouldnt be chewing spit on the floor. the dumpster is larger than a semi truck trailer and has rotten produce, nails, sticks, ect in it. hulk sad :(
but there is another cleanup guy who i can ask later just in case.
 
A couple of weeks ago, I thought I lost my Dragonfly (G10). Not a good feeling at all. Fortunately, a couple of days later, I found it in my car. It had slipped out of my pocket.

I feel your pain.

ok so i took off my freezer suit to go home tonight and saw a little flash and was all, huh, i dont have any zippers. i kid you not, clung to the torn fabric, on the inside, stuck by the clip for the last couple days, was my dragonfly. i cried. :) hulk... happy

Sweet! A happy hulk is better for everybody
 
I had a similar experience. The wireclip got caught in the inside mesh pocket of my Eddie Bauer winter parka. I'm finding that the wireclip tends to get snagged pretty easily so I'm extra careful now and do a double check every time I walk past anything that could snag it.
 
Awesome! Hulk LUCKY! My collection is slowly growing but my Dragonfly salt is still my favorite knife!! SO much knife in such a small, light package!

the hulk referance is from the big bang theory when leanord shows sheldon some original hulk gloves and sheldon puts them on during a conversation about going on a date with a couple girls. sheldon says "hulk agrees to date with puny humans!" "um, sheldon, you have to take those off and leave them here" *pause pause* "hulk saaad... " and he takes them off and leaves. well the next day after that was released, a friend of mine was showing his brother some guitar chords he wasnt picking up on very quickly and when he asked " ya got it?" he replied "hulk... confused :(" and ever since, its stuck as an inside joke

Nice photo!

To the OP, glad you found it! I lost a composite blade Kershaw Leek a few months ago and it turned up under my nightstand. I think the cat was using it to mouse hunt.
