Last weekend I dropped my Endura in 75' of water in the Gulf of Mexico. Got in a hurry to cut an anchor rope and didn't use the lanyard ! Bought that knife when I was in the Army and it served me well for 5 years...a real loss.

Rather than buying a new Endura, thought I might try something new.

Here are the specifications that I am looking for:
* 4" blade

* Would like a thick bellied blade similar to that of a Sebenza. I am not real fond of the narrow/sharp point of the Endura in rough water.

* Very light weight, so I can clip in swimsuit and wear comfortably.

* Lanyard hole !

* No serrations

* Not too expensive, since I spend alot of time around deep water.

* Ability to handle long exposure to saltwater and fish guts.

* One hand opening.

Any help/opinions are appreciated !

toolin, good grab... beat me here.

The spyderco Military or Wegner(senior) would be the best choices with your options.

This is a pretty good work knife for the price. Decent steel, broader point and you can get it in 50/50 for rope work. One of the best budget aluminum handled knives out there IMHO.
