I have often misplaced knives but until now have not lost one. Unfortunately, it appears this one is lost.

Mini Ritter Grip in CPM-M4 on Wilkins grips. I have spent 10 hours looking, returning to stores I frequented, driving my wife insane. This has been my most carried knife for years. It is driving me nuts trying to figure out where it could have been lost.

Just wanted to vent.

That's rough.. I currently have my orange mini Ritter(M390) in my hand right now. I've dreaded the thought of breaking/losing it, and hell, they're not even that hard to come by, they're just a lot higher priced than I payed for mine. My mini Ritter is definitely one of my favorite and most carried knives. I'd feel like there was a void in my collection if mine ever went missing.

I truly wish you good luck on finding your trusty Ritter. Don't give up all hope just yet, situations like this tend to work themselves out.

P.S. Check the under couch cushions! That's where my knives like to go when they're hiding from me.

Hopefully it will show up for you soon. Unfortunately we have all lost a fine knife at some point.

hopefully you'll find it. I've lost a couple over the years. hunted high and low. bout the time I give up it pops up. maybe you'll get lucky......

Sorry to hear this. Knock on wood, I've never lost a knife, but I have lost my wallet before. It's a pretty dreadful feeling actually. Hope you luck up and find it!

Feel your pain.
Hope that you find it.

Also, check under the car seats. I had mine slipped off from a shorts pocket while driving.

Sorry to hear that and hopefully it will show up in a place you haven’t looked yet.

Puppy took it and buried it - it happened to me with my custom dressed up Dustar Dimona, quite a large fixed blade. I looked for it for a whole week and gave up. Tore down the whole house, garage, barn, basement. Unexplained mystery. Maybe the aliens.
Couple month later... Puppy took me to his favorite spot, dug up some snow and dirt and gave me back my knife. I was stoked.

mr2blue your living up to your user name it sounds like.

I've lost a few knives in the past. Luckely nothing expensive or of sentimental value. My edc is a $6 Gerber utility knife.

Hopefully you find your knife again soon.

You never know if it might turn up one day.

My first "high-end" knife was a Manix 2 XL I purchased off of Amazon about 8 years ago. Carried it everywhere for years. Used it for scrapping metal, demoing houses, kitchen prep, and everything in between.

'Twas my baby.

Lost it a few years back for well over a year. Turned up in a closet under some junk I hadn't moved in eons.

Hope yours is misplaced as well.

For what it's worth, my mother's advice on looking for something lost that you just can't find was to go back to the first place you thought to look for it, then look harder. It's amazing how frequently that has worked for me :) Unfortunately, it's not 100% :( but it is still worth trying.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I am ready to spit in the he ocean and throw pepper over my shoulder.

Not sure why this is irreplaceable? They made hundreds. You may have to pay more to replace it, but it's a long way from a top dollar custom, even if they don't make them any more. It may take a while to replace it, but you can do it.

On the other side, check out the thread from Cambellclanman on the Traditionals Forum. He lost his favorite, one of less than 100, that they made back 10 years ago. And someone found him a brand new one. It can be done...

Stay positive; and good luck.

It sucks to loose stuff. OP, you have my sympathy.
Last year my 0450 went missing for a week or so. Drove me nuts!
I found it deep underneath the seat of my car, barely visible. I needed to use a flashlight to find it; it wasn't the first time I’d looked there.
Reading the posts, cars seem to be knife eaters.

I hope you find your knife soon!

Man that sucks. That really really sucks! People ask why I have safe queens. People ask why I buy 2 of the exact same knife. This is exactly why!! I am not one to usually pay over list for a knife so if it is a limited run or might get discontinued and I’m going to carry/use it I try to buy 2 if I can. I lost a knife a long time ago that had sentimental value to me and I guess I was scarred. I hope it turns up for you!

If you where wearing a bag, check that. I had a loose thread on my bag snag my knife out of my pocket. I searched high and low, and could not find it, till a few days later I used the bag I was wearing and spotted the knife dangling on a thread on the back of the bag. Good luck.

It sucs for sure and at least it wasn't a real expensive knife like the 500.00 dollar knife I lost a few years back. Good luck maybe you'll run across it one day.
