Cool topic. I have done it. Here is my video that shows the entire process in the field from tinder gathering to "drop big rock on small rock" Got a two strike fire using the firesteel back of a mag block. Also tossed in a wild edible cuz that's how I roll.

if you have something that is hard and sharp , itll work . as it has been sad tho , there is only one way to find out for sure . Go try it .
