Just thought I'd post this as I am sure of some of yall have had something similar happen. And I am sure there are threads like this already on the forum so my apologies if so. The two knives below I received as a gift when I was a kid, probably 35 years ago. Fixed blades were never really my thing and I have always preferred traditional folders. But after many moves over the years from a kid up until as early as 2 years ago, I thought these knives were lost. Until today when I was unpacking a few boxes that were tucked away. I couldn't even tell you why there were in this box or who packed them. The surprising thing is, I always have kept up with literally every knife. This set just slipped through somehow.

I remember getting these as a gift and thought they were super cool but never really had an attachment to them. Though one time about the age of 6 or 7 I tried to 'sharpen' them(they didn't even need sharpening) and just ended up putting some scuffs on the blades. My Dad told me to not to try to sharpen them unless he was around to help or just to let him sharpen them himself. Of course I didn't listen but I do remember giving it hell when I did try. Pretty sure I never actually used them, just put them on my belt a few times.

Anyways, I thought it was pretty neat to run across something that I thought was lost. Some good memories came back when I saw them in the bottom of that box. Has anyone had anything similar happen? Something in the knife world that was lost and then found?

Beautiful set of Bucks! Love the side x side sheath they came with.
Which set is that? 103 and 108? ... 105?

These are 102 and 103. Still wish I knew how they wound up in that box. One of those little mysteries I guess, pleasant surprise for sure.

I remember that duo now that you mention it. I probably thought the one was not big enough and the other was not pointy enough. And the pair not cheap enough.

With me it's the other way around: I just put it down right there and now it's gone.
