That's exactly the same terrain as it is where I live, every year they find a a few hikers that underestimated the desert, no bueno.

Especially the way the weather has been for the last week (not today, though). It hit 103 degrees on my porch here in North Park the other day. It was like 115 out in Joshua Tree. Man's very lucky to be alive.
