What are really good knives that you know of that really went relatively un-noticed?

NOT under-rated, more like un-recognized or barely noticed even though they likely warrant a lot of exposure.

I’m thinking of something like the Southern Grind Penguin, the Southern Grind/Case collaboration, and the Hoback Knives folding Kwaiback. They seem to fly under the radar and I think more people should know of them. Especially the Penguin (the name probably didn’t help (-:)

I’m really hoping to hear what other knives people think didn’t get proper billing. Not critiques on the knives - especially others’ submissions.

Kind of a Don’t Worry, Be Happy but more people should be aware of xxxxx knife.

I knew of the Penguin, and was quite close to buying one on a few occasions

Lost in the mix? I almost said the Anchovy... then I remembered how much I hated it until I rounded off the butt end and softened the tip of the flipper tab. (I like it a lot, now, though)

Really? I thought Hoback Kwaiback was a relatively well known knife in the community. I picked up on myself not long ago, a MK5 in Nitro V and put a semi mirrored edge on it!

When I read the first line, I immediately thought of the Penguin. I've been playing with mine the past few days, and I was thinking od=f starting literally the same exact thread... It's such a great knife, but it's barely mentioned.

James Knives. Very nice gentleman’s/dress up knives. Prices range from about $100 - $275. They are small (under 3” blades).
