Lost in Wild

I watched this tonight, it was interesting. There were a few things I'd have done differently than what was presented, but overall there was some good info.

Yeah, we watched it as well. The wife rattled off everything that they needed to do in order of priority and was explaining to me why they should have done this or that. Yeah, was good to hear exactly what had sunk in when I was sharing about shelters, fire, water purification, food gathering and so on. She actually listened, right down to how to test the tender for dryness. Yep, she made me proud. :D

missed the March show :grumpy: but was able to tape the April and just viewed it today. It was good to see the reality of some of our young urban youth, who had not a clue of the real outdoor's and how "Red" Mother Nature's teeth are. It was great when Cody did the fire drill and the expression and emotion on the young one's face's when ember became FIRE! :)

Yep, that was good alright. Made me think a lot about those in the urban areas that don't have a clue as to what to do when out and about in the bush.

If there is a true TSHTF scenario that makes wastelands of the cities, those that survive long enough to reach the bush will become victims, food or worse.

What gear does Cody allow you to keep? Is it posted anywhere? He went thru everyones pack and removed the nonsense. The show seemed to be more geared to watching the survivors suffer than him showing them what to do. Its still better than "Survivor"

I don't think it was ment to "teach" them as much as to let the viewer learn how unprepared they would be for a walk on the wild side.
