I had a knife as a child that holds a special place in my heart, I was hoping to get a little help in locating one as mine was stolen. It was dagger style ka-bar, double edged all black and all metal design. Overall length was around 6-7". It was available at most hardware stores around me; delaware, USA. I really loved this knife as it was a gift from a passed loved one and would love to replace it in my collection. Thank you for helping me out it means a lot to an amateur collector such as myself!

That would have been the Kabar 2752, a stainless steel dagger with an cast aluminum handle, made in Japan during the late 60s / early 70s, while Cole Corp owned the company and Kabar based in Cleveland. They came with an all black paint coat, handle and blade.

Here's a picture of one that has been stripped of all black paint. I snagged the pic from fleabay, the only one on there right now is WAY over priced. They usually go for a lot less, depending on condition and whether or not the sheath is present.

Edit: Added a pic of the 2752 in its original coloration...
