The season premiere of the TV series Lost is tonight. I'm ready to see some more crazy knife-related action involving that guy Locke. Last season was really entertaining.

I just hope they give the guy a better knife than that piece of crap that he's been using. Even a Ka-Bar would be a better choice.

What does everybody think?

Yeah, Locke's the man!

I taped the episode when he reveals his knives and upon pausing, noticed it was a bunch of Frost/Maxam type knock offs. I think there was a Gerber Winchester that he later gave to Kate prior to the pig hunt. The knuckle duster had to be there just for drama and establish his character as a bad ass.

He does carry a small folder on his vest which might at least be a Spyderco but can't quite tell. I did cringe whe he banged the tip of his big fixed blade on the hatch. I would have thought he would use the pommel instead, being as well knowledged as he is supposed to be.

The producers probably figured not that many folks would take notice.

Thing is, we've already seen his stash so it would be hard to introduce something new....or would it......?

Thanks for the post to the Locke thread. It was great! I thought SGT. Drano's Locke collection was too cool!

Someone posted that Locke's collection is typical of a Walter Mitty type. Very good analogy. I would think he spent a lot of time online or HSN considering his disability.

Can't wait for tonight's episode.

Haven't we been through this before? The character is way too skilled to be a Walter Mitty type. He certainly didn't just read all that stuff in a book. You guys are just expecting too much out of the props department.

How would he get a different knife? He is on an island! Every knife nut watching the show would point it out!

I watched the show tonight, Pretty good!

He will stumble upon/witness the crash of a small plane, carrying a shipment of badass Dark ops folders. then he will deanimate his fingers the first time he uses one, and the show will be over when he dies from infection.

I taught i saw a spydie on his vest and a ka bar and a busse with the other knives??

Wasn't there a HUGE thread on the knives that he had? That was a great thread, had pics from the show and pics of the actual knife.

What was also discovered was that he did have a spydie in the first couple of episodes on his vest...then it changed to a knock-off!! I think this happened to a quite a few of his knives.

My personal theory is that the crew started "borrowing" these props, "losing" them, then asking the prop master for a replacement. And the prop master gave him cheapies.

I know it's TV, and they had to make it obvious that he carrying, but I hate it that he carries the "spyderco" with the clip in the pocket & the handle hanging out - great way to loose your knife & look like a noob.

Perhaps the guy in the underground chamber has a secret cache of high-end knives to go with those guns.
