The word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. Hebrews 4:12

Gunner, Back track!!! I know of several people that have had great luck in going over they're steps and locating a dropped knife! So don't delay......

Also, before you head out, make sure you had it with you! That is probably more likely, a lot of knives are found in the seat cushions of chairs, along with a small fortune in coins! So first I'd make sure it's not resting in the house somewhere.

Goodluck man, I feel for you, I lost a knife once, went the winter, come spring, my wife ran over it with the lawnmower, lucky it wasn't high enough to get hurt, but the steel shone brightly and she picked it up and boy was I happy! Not a problem with it from sitting out all winter!
So there is hope!

TomW, yeah she gets a kick out of that, she's out mowing the grass and I'm inside sewing, leather sheaths but sewing none the less! I do make a cameo appearance on the green from time to time, just never took to liking the grass cutting thing......

Whenever I think I've lost my beloved AFCK, the first place I look is on the seatbelt of my car. For some reason, it somehow gets clipped to the belt.

Gary,
Tom Brown Jr. says that grass screams when we cut it, we just haven't learned to hear it yet.
So, if you keep that in mind, cutting the grass is a LOT more fun!

Gunner,
you're right! That DOES suck, but do go back and look for it. If all else fails, see if you have a friend with a metal detector.
I had my Rolex ripped off my wrist while skydiving many years ago and had to borrow a metal detector to find it.
Spent two days on the Drop Zone, but finally got the BIG beep and dug the watch up. (It was buried about 3 inches down!)
The crystal was cracked, but it was still tickin! (Beat THAT Timex!)
Point being, if you REALLY wanna find it, you probably can.
GO for it!

I cut it, and I cut it, and it's STILL too short!

When my youngest son was 14 he was going on a Boy Scout hike. He wanted to take a fixed blade with him and asked me if he should take his $20 pilot survival knife or his $225 Randall #14. I suggested his Camillus pilot survival knife. He put the knife in his day pack, and upon arriving at the camp site, noticed he had not completely tied his pack shut. Everything was there but the knife. Boy was I glad he hadn't taken his Randall! I bought him another Camillus at the PX and he learned a good lesson.

Definitely backtrack! It'll look hopeless but the knife won't blend, though it could be covered up by leaves or something. Don't just look for the blade, look for the black handle too--most stuff out there probably isn't that kind of deep black. Good luck!

Ken, just out of curiosity, how far did your watch fall?

Ah James, you forgot one.
Tim, talk about your locked threads. It looks like someone just got hit by the ACE Hardware truck! LOL

Looks like my work here is finished.

Except for one thing. "MEEP, MEEP!"

It was probably one of those Ghille suit colored ones, so he will never find it. However, maybe if you beg hard enough, or offer a ghille suit in trade, somebody will send you a metal detector to search with
