I lost my SAK explorer 4 years ago, and that sucks. Yesterday I was looking around a old backpack at my brothers, and BAM!!! There it was just like I left it. Has anyone had this happen to them? Its almost like getting a new knife, and that always makes for a good day.

Yeah, I lost my Vic spartan sameway and LM Micra. I bought climber and found my SPartan from pockets of my pants two weeks later and after I bought new Micra, I found old one from chest pocket of my dress jacket.

But only after i had bought new ones ^^ oh, yes, my Nokia 3310 once did travel alone in VR's passenger carriage. It traveled few times accross Finland and I eventually got that from Military Hospital Tilkka prior it was closed (after a conductoor had found it and I had taped my name and unit on cell phone and I got phone as I brought a patient to Tilkka ) but that's bit OT.

A month ago I lost a BUCK pocketknife while canoeing, wading and fishing. Looked all over for it. Figured it was in the river. Two days ago I found it in my camera case.

Yeah,
I lost my spyderco delica 3 on a camping trip and was debating whether to replace it with another delica 3 or try something different. About a week later it turned up in my wife's (fiance at the time) purse. What a joy! I loved that knife. Years later I ran over it with the lawnmower so it's no longer with us. I've seen the new delica 4's and they're still great but I don't like them as much as the 3.

I once misplaced a knife for 5 years.

I was using a Benchmark Roll-lock knife to cut something in my car and thought I had snapped the knife back in its plastic sheath.

Later on I went back to my car to get the knife and only the plastic sheath was there. I was convinced I lost the knife in the car and ripped the car apart only to come up empty handed.

I kept the plastic sheath and a few times I almost threw it out....

Years later I was painting one of the bathrooms in the house and there placed on a high towel shelf was my knife. I don't know how it got up there, my wife and I are both short, it wasn't a natural place for me to place anything. I must have put the knife in my pocket without the sheath and placed it there when I took a shower. I can't blame "age" because I was only 39 at the time.

Short term loss, I was using my ZDP Kreined E4 to open some baby stuff and within 2 minutes it was gone. I put it down for (well 2 minutes) to assemble the table and I turned around and poof, it was gone. Tried to see how far it could have gotten (I didn't move my feet), but no luck. About 3 hours later I looked in between couch cushions and there she was. Turns out my wife "didn't want to lose my knife", picked it up and put it on the arm of the couch. 10 seconds later she sat down on that side of the couch and the knife fell down in the crack.

Sure am glad she was helping

Went to Girl Scout summer camp when I was 8 or 9, lost my Girl Scout knife there.
Went back to same camp as a counselor at 15 - found my knife in the lost and found box!

Knew it was mine 'cause Dad had engraved my name on the handle.

It is somewhere in a box now. Unless I've misplaced it again?!

I lost a Gerber folding hunter wading in a river while fishing. I had no idea where it was, just that I lost it while I was at the river. About a year and a half later the river was down and I was walking down the bank to get to my boat and saw something reflect light in the mud. It was my Gerber. The handle inlays had rotted off but it still worked and was still sharp. I sent it back to Gerber and they replaced the handles at no charge.

Now That's something!

When me and my wife were just dating I came to spend the weekend with her (we lived at opposite ends of the state at the time) and lost my BM Gaucho folder while I was there. We now live together in her house and though we have been unable to find the knife in the last two years we have lived here since, we are getting ready to move and I have high hopes the knife will turn out when we are moving the furniture out!

Almost forgot, I lost my Gerber multitool one summer while working for a restoration and remodeling company. About 6 weeks later we found it under the hood in the battery tray of our work van. Once again, I was glad to have it back.

I lost my Spyderco spider edge Delica several years ago. A few weeks ago I found it way back in the corner of my storage unit. I must have accidentally kick it while I was walking around the day I lost it.

I have a couple of stories like that. I was sure I had left it somewhere, and then found it. One was buried deep in boxes from a move across town. The other was dropped by the front porch due to fishing out keys. I try to keep keys and knives in seperate pockets, but it does not always work out that way. It really does make your day when you recover an old friend.

About a year ago I lost a black leek.....then after a week it being lost I saw a co-worker with the same knife. I had convinced myself that he had stolen it, but couldn't work up the nerve to question him about it. 3 month later I found the knife under my bed. Glad I kept my mouth shut.

When I was at BYU, I was climbing a peak in about 3 feet of snow. After a while I discovered that my Gerber Mark I had slipped off my belt (the sheath had a steel clip rather than a belt loop). I figured I would never see it again. The next spring my brother was on the same peak (no trails there) and just happened to follow the same route. He found it, and I still have it. It had a lot of pitting, but it is reasonably whole.

I "misplaced" a BM Mini Reflex I searched everywhere for 5 years, I dragged my yard, (7 acres) with a huge magnet, no luck.

Fast Forward 5 years, I still look around the yard where I might have dropped it, then 1 night I'm movin' boxes in the basement when I pick up a box on top of another box and there it is layin' between the 2 boxes, man I was happy, an then 3 days later I find a Blackie Collins Joggin' Buddy I'd misplaced around the same time, it was tied to a canoe and left outside for all that time.

Two happy finds in one week.:)

I lost my favorite Leek about a month ago (S30v, Polished G10), My son lost a D2 Green Spyderco Military when he went to Iraq. I bought it for him after he lost his Emerson CQC-7. I think we need lanyards....

About four years ago I was EDC'ing a Kershaw Hawk, I loved that knife.

Around that time I was moving into the place I currently live, and one day I discovered the knife was missing. I was pretty upset because I loved that little knife and it was long discontinued. But, I moved on.

A few years later during spring cleaning, I found it on top of the fridge.

Lost an Al Mar ultra-lite in a fall cornfield deer hunt and found it the next spring out pre-season turkey scouting. Of course I had already replaced it with another one!--KV
