Well I have somehow surpassed the 5K mark and thus it is time to give back to the community.

I am sorry to hear Lost Mtn has stopped taking orders, for whatever reason, but brothers and sisters -this is the real deal sheath I am offering up. I would like to limit participation to those who were not fortunate enough to score a sheath of their own.

So if you want one of these, all you have to do is say something nice about anyone else on this forum. That should make things EZ :D A random number generator will determine the winner on April 1st :D

The number of your post will be your entry and only one entry per person please, er else you be wishin again - The winner will have their choice of a black or tan Johnny Wadd, or Foot Long

So tell us which Hogs rock and why - (Butterin up get's you nowhere ;))

And Thank You Again Beth and Charlie - You guys and your sheaths rock!

Oh yea - they are the HOG models

Congrats Beaverseat

I had one of these sheaths but I wanted to say that Beth and Charlie are great!!!
So sad to hear that they couldn't continue!!! They have some great products and ideas!!
Thank you Beth and Charlie!!!

I have got to say that thatmguy is a great guy.

Skip this section if you don't want to hear a long-short story.
I was at the Indy 1500 in October of last year and was fondling a gladius and drooling all over it. I didnt have the money to buy it but I started saving for the next Indy 1500. I got to the gunshow as soon as I could friday after work. Unfortunately Mike didnt have a gladius, but saw how sad I was. So the latest Indy 1500 he remembered me and had a gladius just for me!!! THANKS VERY MUCH MIKE!!!

I once asked the Forum for any info on buying lanyards....

Joe Fowler stepped up and sent me free of charge 4 lanyards....

He is a great HOG! Never asked for payment or anything!

There has been so many situations in my short 2.5 years on this forum, I have meet so many nice people and true hogs in every manner of speaking.
If it had to be one, I would go back to when Chuck saved me a shiva rex that he had offered me at blade a couple of years ago and I bought it from him later on that year. He and his wonderful wife Barbara that he lost last year are special to me.

Awesome giveaway.. Truly HOG-mendous.......

Trevor (Knife Hunter) for proxying for me not once, but twice. And for never asking for anything in return...... Truly an awesome HOG.....;)

My hat is off to MULDER. While I was in the hospital Dave went out of his way to check on my wife and keep the members of the forum up to date with my situation. I will forever owe Dave for his kindness which has continued to present day. He is my Brother and friend!!!

RedbeAR15 this is a cool idea Bro thanks.

Not an entry.
Just want to say that Charlie and Beth are great and I am sorry to hear that they are on hiatus. They are friendly and they make a beast of a sheath.:thumbup:

I have been trying to find one of these sheaths for my Dogfather LE.
If anyone out there has a .25 footlong that they would be willing to part with please PM me,
I would have nice things to say about you rather indefinitely.

Oh yeah, nice contest, OP, you are a very nice man.

Jerry Busse, for listening to us crazy forumites and giving us what we want (especially the Boss Jack LE).

Dave Brown has always been a kind welcoming guy from my experiences.
PeterPHWS constantly blows me away with his awesome user posts that are rich with good information.
Andrew Lynch produced the coolest sheath I have seen to date that continues to be an inspiration for what "hardcore" means in sheathing. (kydex wrapped in kevlar wrapped in kydex)

NICE! I've wanted to try one of those sheaths for a while!
I'll thank RedbeAR15 for this giveaway (very cool). Congrats on 5k!
I'll also mention that I consider the folks here to be of the highest caliber. Thanks to Trevor for multiple favors. Thanks to Steelnut for the advice, and superior craftsmanship. To everyone else who puts up with me, I also thank all of you. In closing, I'll quote myself for sheer humor (it's also pseudo appropriate and funny):

Leave them un-ground for a HUGE discount and Lycosa can buy them cheap and throw a chisel grind on there. Horndog will thin the profile for some thinfi. Mustard man will thin and convex it. 230 Grains will leave it thick but put a full convex on it. DowntownDM will try to chop through a chain with it as a means to sharpen it. Norcalblacktail will gripe about the choil and strip it. Ban will buy a few and charge extra having made them sharp enough to push-cut concrete. Eventually Liu Kang will own them all. If I've omitted something, please chime in.

I'll give it up for Scott (idahoskunk) and his better half, Vicky. Often funny, and always generous, they are one of the best kept secrets of the Busse family. When my stepson and I found a hidden Busse dog tag some years back, Scott sent my stepson a complimentary Busse shirt just for helping me locate the payload. True class! :)

Well first thanks this is great I don't have one but have wanted to get one
There are a lot of good poeople on here
Like lui kang he always offers advise and and knows a lot about busse he sold me my cgfbm which is the knife I want this sheath for
And bush craft I concider a friend good guy and always willing to help and proxy
And good ol truk won't get into it but great stand up man thanks truk
That is just to name a few and with my spelling and puncuation I just better stop now lol

What a shame. I have been wanting one for my Dogfather for a while. Good luck Beth and Charlie!

Oh yeah! I think rpn is awesome for hooking me up with my favorite hunk of INFI, Sarsquatch LE 2008.

Tough to say something nice about just one person.

Non inclusive list of hogs who have helped me out

Knifehunter,
Jaxx,
Forager,
David Brown,
Petah
Oesser,
Mulder
There are lots more.

This list is a short list of guys who have either helped out a marine in need (donated for a knife for my young cousin who is a Marine)

Or have scored me knives at shows etc, or let me borrow a knife on a passarround to try out an old school beauty! Or are guys I scored a knife from and had a great transaction with etc.

The categories also overlap!

I have seen these guys donate to good causes again and again (again this is not an exhaustive list).

Oesser was the first Busse owner I met in person outside my self. Got to hold a bunch of different models at our first get together (he lives 12 hours away from me).

Petah did a donation of a shop credit for a knife to donate to my cousin. Based on that thread, a lot of great guys jumped in and donated to other service men.

Jaxx has sold me a knife that he donated the proceeds from to a worthy cause. He donated to my cousin's knife, and I have seen him donate to many other great causes!

Knife hunter has scored a knife for me at a show, with out ever meeting me. He has also donated to my cousin's knife, and many others as well since I have been on here.

Forager was part of donating to the knife for my cousin as well.

Mulder did a great passarround with a delightful straight handled badger attack in A2 that I was happy to be a part of. If I remember, he got that knife back with more dings than it left his hands with for sure (promise none were from me!).

David Brown has supplied his share of donated sheaths for service members etc. And he is a great guy who makes a great sheath!

Tons of other great guys on here who go above and beyond any time some one is in need, or just go out of their way to welcome others here and make it a great community!

OOOH, don't forget Amy and the other gals that put up with our incessant whining about everything, constant calls and emails. Getting our orders shipped and fixing any concerns we have.

BossHog makes some mean knives!

Well, I would have to say Ive got a few nice things to say about a couple of people, Amy-O just plain rocks and always makes me feel appriciated and welcome when I call, Jaxx has stepped up and answered alot of my questions even when they have been kinda on the dumb side... umm, beaverseat generally makes me laugh with some of his posts, uh, Jerry of course for all the fabulous knives that helped to introduce me into collecting and owning very sexy sharp pointy objects!!!

Like has been said before, there's so many good people around here.

And since drbarns already said Mike, thatmguy, who is a great guy, I will say something nice about his partner in crime.

Flatlander, Bob.

I don't know him very well and he doesn't post too often nowadays, I just talk to him when he get a chance to work the Indy 1500 with Mike, but just by being around him and talking to him, you can tell he's a great guy and a real down to Earth guy. Bob, Mike and I talk about you when you're not there, and he always speaks highly of you which means a lot.

Hell, he's as much to blame for my INFI addiction as Mike is ;)

So Flatlander, he's a great guy. Hope you're doing well and staying safe over there Bob, and I hope you come back in time for Blade or another 1500 real soon.

-Mark

PS- Sorry for the 2 posts in the thread. It didn't occur to me to edit my first post before I put this one up :foot:

I want to send a big 'THANK YOU' out to Trevor (KnifeHunter), he offered to send his Regulator to Chuck (Chuddy Bear) to save me money on needing to send mine in from Canada. Now, I have never met Trevor and prior to this we had never talked, but he was willing to send his knife out just to help me! I was really grateful for his kindness and hope that we get to meet someday.

By the way, the sheath is AWESOME!!! As all of Chuck's work is.

Very nice sentiment behind this, thanks for the chance RedbeAR15.
