he was almost 15 and was like a child to my wife and i. he is under his tree watching over his back yard now!!!

Its tuff and I'm sorry. Good dogs don't come along all of the time. When they do they are great companions and friends. I still think about an old mixed dog than wondered up to our house one day and stayed for 15 years. He understood English and loving cuddler. He got ran over right in front of our house... thats been over 30 years ago and I still miss and think of him often

Smoke sent your way as you work through this. Loosing pups is almost as tough as people you know.

Sorry man... I have been in your shoes, and I know it is not an easy time. Enjoy the memories.

Fields, I'm truly very saddened by this mate. Losing your best mate, your sweet little dog, is incredibly hard. Take some time bud, grieve with your wife for his passing and remember all the happy times. We'll be here if you need us. All my prayers for you pal..

We Lost our's this year also feeling your pain and so sorry for your loss. Man's best friend for a reason and in our family the pets are family nice to know at rest in his yard.

Lost my little buddy a few years ago. My family and I still miss him dearly. Time heals all wound...eventually...sort of. Embrace your memories, remember the good times, they will.serve you well.

Mine turned 15 this November. He's near blind, deaf, arthritic, and sleeps all the time. His time is coming, but he's hanging in there with a very good temperament (far better than I'd have). Sorry for your loss -- I've been preparing the kids (6 and 8) of ours for quite some time.
