I got a day off today for 4th of July so I decided to take my kids on a hike. I packed my Boss Street, (which was my first and only Busse knife) because I wanted to use it to teach my 6 and 8 year old sons how to baton and the basics of bushcraft. I didn't realize it until I got back home but it wasn't inside my back pack anymore. I think I left it behind, damn I am so stupid. :( I really liked that knife, definitely the best fixed blade I've ever owned.

I will guess I will have to go back tomorrow to see if by luck it is still there. Most likely it won't be because the area I go to is a popular trail that many hikers and cyclists frequent. It's still worth a try though. :o

Happy 4th of July Hogs.

Stay positive. Take some extra sets of eyes if possible. Re-trace things in your mind. I bet you find it.

Edit: Leave a sign at the trail head with pic and reward in a wateproof sleeve. Lots of honest folks still around.

Oh man!
sorry to hear that
ya,I would be going back right now
even bring a waterproof note saying you lost
a knife and REWARD
good luck man
hope you get it back!

Thanks guys. The note in the waterproof sleeve is a great idea.

I would be going back right now but it's getting late, the fireworks are about to start and I promised my kids that I would take them to the firework show. But I will definitely try posting a note on the trail post. I really like that knife and it is worth a try, considering I don't have money to buy another.

Good luck Bro, hope you find it. I'd do what the others have said, cause there is stil a few honest folks out there.

People seem to be loosing good knives recently. There was a guy in general knife dis. and he said the lost his Hinderer XM-18, now the Boss Street.

I hope it gets back to you.

I'm sorry to hear this that's one heck of a knife to loose however there still is hope like others have stated bring along some extra pairs of eyes.

Bummer!!!!!!

I "lost" my phone today (would cost as much as the CABS LE to replace), at Cabelas. Luckily, I found it. I had laid out in a "tent/Cot" and it slid out of my pocket.

After 1/2 an hour walking around looking at stuff, my ear piece started beeping. I could not find my phone, and ran back to look inside the tent. Found it, luckily.

Also, just had my BAD fall out (read pulled out) of my pocket sheath by the lanyard at a furniture store. Luckily my son noticed and my wife handed it back to me!

Hopefully you find your knife! That would bother me for the rest of my life!!!!
